A few hours away from my abode
By way of an invite to
My friend’s recording session,
Turned out to be
An awesome experience.
As Teremana and Patron
Take turns smoothing out
The wrinkles of my daily stresses
Music flows from studio speakers
The pooch at my feet adorably chills.
Looking up every now and then
My bestie with ear plugs in place
Keeps me in smiling mode
Earlier I shared with him
My thoughts of the day,
As he shared with me
What’s been bothering him lately.
I definitely had the wrong number earlier today.
I’m still learning more about him and his process.
This is so different from what I’m used to.
This new way of life is nice.
A toast comes into play as
Music flows free like an autumn breeze.
Got me moovin n groovin like never before.
