Open your Eyes
take time, to
Look up through the haze in the clouds,
A staircase leading up to the stars
Imagine the skies
from the point of view
Of a raindrop
to wherever
its humble beginning arrives
looking deeply
into the subatomic realm,
water molecules sharing
strong bonds,
released when energies exceed them,
like now,
Kissed by the sun…
Reaching elevations
Whether
from the depths within the ocean…
Or from ice on a mountaintop…
Absorbing radiant energies
released from solid
Or liquid state,
forming a vaporous chain,
something, not so difficult to explain
Engrained deeply within,
drifting, like snow
Falling, like rain
hurtling through space
like hail…
Rising,
falling,
rippling in waves
with wind shear
Following the whims
of forces,
Explosively interacting
with an offset balance
In the space between…
waves of consciousness
Spirits drawn
by currents of our visions
Swept by gentle whispers,
teased, by slight winds…
in echoes of our memories,
Of living sparks within
as the dance begins...
within our hearts,
as our will and spirit flow
Inspiring the mind to catch the will
To follow dreams, which come and go…
as the rise and fall of our chest cavity,
As it expands, to full capacity,
Bows and heaves…
then relaxes and exhales
Releasing oceans of exhaust gasses,
casting
Effervescent sparks,
the catalyst that which fuels the engine,
which drives the heart of this life
of fits and false starts
driven to deliver... what it may
whatever it might...
So, as we breathe
and let our imaginations pour,
The essence whom we truly are
as spiritual beings,
Follows pathways
to take us to the edge
Of whom, whatever it is, we are
then leap over the known
to touch the stars
on a walk
which leads beyond imaginary
Course
of what formerly
would-be boundaries
Extending to places
we’ve yet to explore
Tempered by attraction
and objects of desire,
a fear
on the unending change of partners
with which to dance with death
distractions by things of little good,
Yet greater consequence
should we persist in playing with fire,
hit or miss interactions with our quests
to go down familiar passageways
with those people chosen to join us
as we pretend to live forever…
and with the divine guidance,
we acknowledge our limitation
advance to the point
of greatest fear...
where, at last we leap
into a face-to-face encounter
with the Creator
and take the chance…
Alone
or with the chosen few
To venture on,
to the place where we follow its truth
Further down corridors of the unknown
Carried by echoes of spirit soul
through our collective consciousness
in remembrances of ancestral origin
perhaps to our death,
or to be rightfully returned,
to our persistent throne
our heritage, of faith and perseverance
blessed, though never alone…
and beyond that,
to go forth
from our living expressiveness
And our capacity to love ourselves,
To bond and compliment
God’s creatures, and other
…human beings
to our last judgement
beyond the capacity
to atone
