if a artist duty is to reflect the times as artist we should be coloring outside the lines if we're reflecting such a time as this if we're telling the truth about it are we not the witnesses of our time and era others will see in their time through their eyes they will know our truth they will know our thoughts they will feel our emotion and burning desire to be free they will hear our laughter they will see us cry they will join us on our individual journey all across this plane they will get a view of our world t if we are to reflect the time they will see the exact moment we suddenly realized we weren't free and discovered creativity to be our liberty and gifted ability to opening portals to escape through for the meantime in between time our mission is to escape systematic captivity our time here is our history Nina Simone wanted us to know how f*****up it was to be young gifted black and oppressed at the same time we want them to know we still face the same systematic disadvantages if it's our calling then we are sworn in to write the wrong to make it right we are not here to sugar coat sh*t our art should lift the veil uncover the pit of hell and the lake of fire we're drowning in we should not pretend it's all sunshine and roses warring for peace
