Once colorful leaves
are fading and preparing to fall;
Yet there are ripening
colorful apples and pumpkins:-
Tricks and treaters are looking forward
to their fun night;
Gobbling roast-bound turkeys
contemplate their fate:-
Meanwhile, in the bright cooling sunshine,
squirrels scurry and gather pinecones
and nuts for what’s coming:-
And in the shaded brightness of moonlight,
porcupines make stinging-love;
Wow! what an awesome canvassing of nature’s
welcoming of the coming Fall:-
