Glistening in the sun all the time 

Heavy sometimes 

In shade 

The light 

Moon blue 

Heavens lights

Upon burning candle tips

Forever always 

is within all our sights

Drifting West

Nonexistent thoughts

of a sailor at sea

Passing by, dreaming 

In the midst of a warm salty breeze

Pushing waves toward golden shores

And awaiting fantasies

Of a glorious destination 

Dreamt in a thousand daydreams galore 

As the Rooster Crows

Rise up into the day

Let the light shine on

and lead the way 

Ride your muse in the sunlight 

Let the love fill your heart and stay

Thoughts inside a dream

Memories of a time 

Heavy on the mind

The Weight of Sorrow

The weight of sorrow 

With the weight of sorrow

The path I walk alone

For those too weak to speak 

From saddened hearts and wounds deep

And from heartache 

The soul weeps

And all hatred is

But a trait, a blister

Merely skin deep

The Softening Hour

As winter comes undone

The ice melts

and rivers run

Frosted air baked

By the burning sun

And the forest comes abuzz 

Critters and creatures scatter abound

Above bird calls resound

In springtime common mates are found

The dark veil is lifted

And life and love together rebound

On a pale moonlit night

What could be better?

Such are the desires and pleasures of life

Heard in the evening crooner’s voice

Witnessed in the twilight

By the night owl’s steady gaze

Together in unison

As the stars blaze

Burning till the wax melts

And the wick flickers and fades

In pursuit of the most thrilling

Bone chilling

Fantastic fantasy

Upon cliffside scenes

New waves breaking

Are reborn dreams

Set in reality

Fading sometimes in the tides

And autumn light

Calm seas turning into dreams

Dreamt in the night

Felt in the sea breeze

by the early morning light

the ocean’s calling all
