And as long as its rope
Drew tearful interest
Of keloid pain and joy;
The oneness of the tears
Overflowed my heart’s cup
And were re-sipped
From its saucer of thanksgiving:-
I miss you as the Brazos would
Miss its waters flowing to the Gulf:
One. Sweet peace and living love.
