All seemed to have been

Going so well until the death—

The death of our relationship:-

I shall never forget the day

you left me to be sitting here

In the darkness of now.

Although I’ve lost you,

I still have keloid memories

Of the beautiful awarenesses

We shared over the years.

I may have lost my sight,

But my mind remains canvased

With visions of nature reflected

In fall, winter, spring, and summer.

Meanwhile, I continue life—

Sojourning in healing darkness.
