Demeaning their culture/influence
As primitive false-starts ...with avarice
Dropping repeating references to bad actors
Painting these “others” with tags
Meanwhile,
creating a symbolic crusade
complete with weapons...
and flags
Out of control as if lacking a soul.
Creating self-replicating dilemmas
while pretending to blend.
Then devolving into marathon campaigns
of Us versus Them
trending only to friendly-pretenders,
really guys with ties to people with funds
who play with guns and explosives,
spouting extreme views,
trolling with memes
trying to outdo
other factions of subversives
digging up ancient feuds'
In motifs revived with a twist.
Having their views expressed as breaking news.
A revolution they want televised
Just to set records for views.
Hanging out with fiends they can use.
To do what they do. best
Making nightmares of other peoples’ lives.
Because they want to seem important
(the Hell with the rest)
They have chosen to target... together
Cause they’re bored/felt lost
have felt they're being ignored
With no real purpose in life
but spout a version of self-freedom
to do as they please with what pleases them
and to create strife
...to destroy any semblance of community
Other than a perverted sense of unity...
they get from their chosen
online-underground commune.
As if grants them some twisted immunity
Against the disease
they choose to inflict
on those who oppose their views.
Making friends with the soul-less.
Top trending liars and thieves
upon whom they swear to defend...
To rage-on as if the death wish avatar
is their idol.
Dead ends without benefits
turning friends into enemies.
Giving depth to an argument that never ends.
Making each successive disagreement
A progressing dilemma without a positive track
Exponentially increasing the confusion
creating a disturbance
to continuously attack
replicating the illusion...
With never a suggestion of meaningful solutions.
Not even making a useful contribution
A cauldron of lies
to be thrown into the rotating vortex
of endless streams
of disjointed ideas
tied to obscure patterns of living
Injected with poisonous passion and pride
Ideal conditions of a haven,
of self-prescribed
Patriots of the extreme mean
in no way kind
Drawing a treasure map of sorts
Offering their voice
as leading you
Past familiar stories
with a nasty surprise
Making goals so temptingly subtle
feign
Claiming some slick plot twist
to make
A virtuous attack on some helpless
innocents
Protecting what seems a selfless value
As no one else can-do
It's simply hard to resist...
getting caught in the mix

requires imagination

With an active/armed primer
to set the stage
Getting adjacent souls to respond

With genuine/perceived
outrage
Placing emphasis upon vulnerabilities
to ignite
