spring night
and the moon
shines bright
male birds

chirping
as female birds
feather their nests
for the coming mating…
morning chirps
of both greet
sunlight
but minutes later
lighting strikes
thunder roars
and hail falls
the nests
out of sight
and when
hailing stops
the bright sun
only reflects
Silence…
sometimes
such
is nature’s
benevolence…
