Perpendicular—three scores and six—
Our weary feet have collectively
Troded the level plane foot for foot;
Bonded by the cable tow of love:-
Sailing on the ship of eternal faith,
We’ve weathered wayward storms,
Their undulating waters, treacherous winds,
And always rising tides at the shores of life;
Always enfranchised in the oneness of onement.
Perfection on earth
Can never be obtained
By mere mortals like me and you
But we’ve been good for each other;
All praises due to the spirit
That has bonded me to you.
