A RETROSPECTIVE PROSPECTIVE
It may be the end of the year
But the journey to the top
Of the mountain continues
With eyes on the prize
Let us refuel our determination
As we enter into the year, 2024:-
Indeed, once more and again,
Let us not be as if children of Sisyphus;
Rather, let’s be as footprinting Ancestors—
Doing even more so that our heirs' journey
To the mountaintop will be a lesser stress:-
Indeed, during the new year beginning,
Let us ensure that our heirs too, will be able
To likewise say of us as we have been able to say:
“Our ancestors who had less did more towards gaining
Emancipation
That we with more would have less to do to ensure total
Liberation.
In closing out this year, just as before, let's prepare to do more
In 2024;
Thus, let us ensure that this year will also be an ourstorical year
For us:
This year, let us be ever mindful that true democracy cannot be a
Fundraising buy;
Let us show the world the power of that black vote others guaranteed,
Even if they had to die!
