Changing Courses

I try my best not to deviate in my thinking,
sometimes it’s easier to follow a course
one that doesn't always lead to the obvious
conclusion.
Sure there are points to be made on either side
I doubt, given sufficient time and circumstance
whatever changes happened, there will always
be a reason for justification built around  some
phony premise that you were believed in the
first place, I doubt it.
I try my best not to deviate in my thinking,
sometimes it’s easier to follow a course
one that doesn't always lead to the obvious
conclusion
Sometimes chance and opportunity don't
meet in the same room, maybe in the passing
of a stairway, somewhere close to the door
while passing thru, just a reflection in a window
glass, wanting to believe, never stating the
obvious, they'll never tell the truth
to big, too small, somewhere in between
down is up, left is right, there are those that
remain in darkness and choose to remain
out of sight
Somewhere on the
periphery, on the very edges
of time, that cord is kept attached when a true
wind blows your cells back into the light
When you glance back thru that window
pane and see a reflection of you
And just as a reminder
I try my best not to deviate in my thinking,
sometimes it’s easier to follow a course
one that doesn't always lead to the obvious
conclusion.

Very thought provoking. Should desired destiny always be taken into consideration?
