In a Ripple

As i sit here
leaning back against this tree,
i am suddenly enveloped by a sense of fear,
creating chaos momentarily
as my thoughts and emotions careen wildly
driven by feelings so intense
i cry out from my heart,
finding no remedy within reach
to counter this mood of sadness,
beginning to overtake me as i am drawn in
and taken to another place in essence
to disappear within myself

in a ripple

unnoticed,
as a teardrop begins to form
running across my face,
falling in silence
hurtling
at once
between space and time
where echoes in effect transport me
through endless corridors within my mind
bringing ghostly images, indistinct
where i ponder
in a
message
cast into the well of souls
in rhythms exploring
the heartbeat of consciousness
within the depths
i cannot seem to distinguish,
...is it yours or mine?
as it begins
first
with a pure note
ringing true
to unify harmonious elements
within us, soon
reverberating in a melody diversifying
with a rich complexity of ever changing tones,
and complex interactions, offset timing
we may not ever have realized alone
a tune now i recognise
almost a signpost standing out,
announcing our arrival into the world
better known as the blues
from where now,
i am speaking here from
to you
if i cannot
communicate with you,
don't fret
its just you cannot feel the sadness
in my heart
you are not here
with me yet
although,
i may not know you
still, i feel
a great love for you
i will not soon forget,
even if
i lose your signal
we will find each other in another time

this
time and again
as starlights in our eyes
dance once more
with what
is written in our hearts
finding the wave back
from us,
each
to one another
as if, in answer to the question
where were you when i needed you
...just like i need you now...
