Compressed beyond the ability

To maintain the appearance 
of keeping it together.

Looking, for any sign 
We are not alone

Trying to catch a feeling by which 
We might find it easier to rise just one more time

Trying to avoid the countdown 
Beyond which we feel like giving up 

As if, dying is easier than living
Killing easier than forgiving. 

Being erased 
Easier than face our reality

But if you can’t find the space…
You don’t have the time for grieving

While …searching for a lighthouse
Seeking a beacon to mark our position, 

Fellow travelers in life, resisting being swamped 
By forces which assail our existence 

Which seem to come with tremendous w...

So many ways to look at it

Take an idea examine it closely.

Add, subtract multiply, divide alike and different units...

What is it ...in comparison to everything else

How many different ways can you use it

What happens when you abuse it.

Turn it around change its orientation.

Change perspective, add dimensions.

Flip it, spin it, throw it

change its internal, external characteristics

Put yourself in it. Add further definition

Take a picture of it... Redefine its properties

Add layers to it, deconstruct it, alter its position

Study its molecular characteristics

Adapt it in ways which allow it

to make it useful in… so many ways

using your imagination as a sup...

A prayer song

I had a Talk with God today

I felt unsure whether I belonged

I didn’t think I was strong enough to be

A member of the family of man

Told him i wasn’t sure i believed the hype

Wasn’t 100 percent sure who Jesus is/was

Might turn out to be…

Felt, to the best of my experience

He looked more like me…

Than others may think they see

Though, i felt a presence within

Which carries a light… part wisdom part insight

A plan where i am led… to do what’s right

A simple set of rules even I understand

With a set of principles

Which otherwise might be said to be commands

A need to be enabled to succeed, by proxy

Immersed in homework

i slip into brief glances at you

As the Sun drops swiftly

Disappearing beneath the horizon…

As darkness moves in, momentary silences all

Night winds calling from afar Awakening stars

Much to our delight I smile/you smile

Respiration slows accompanied by heartbeats

Moon turning deep tides within...

Everything seems so right

Conscious lit, illuminates... Hearts/Minds

Lights loose pages of the book of life

As revelations being read-written on tracks

As acts being laid down in real time

As i open the portal between
one dimension ...and the next

In memory recall, beast that I am
Processing all memory banks 

Turn on/off sensory recall making withdrawals 
When due to balance our accounts

Doublecheck emotional give and take
To see where your digits meet mine 

Testing my inputs to the supposed limits
Of our shared space and time

You were in b*tch mode

Tired of carrying more than twice 
Your share of the load …

while I hovered about, 
carefree ...meditative

As if oblivious to the new low 
And the companion cold wave

which approached 

As if demanding full attention

And the background noise of bills due
Merged and collided… you got excited, 

Cast words like lightning bolts 
Getting personal beyond the degree

Made me feel like i ...

Riding the waves

An intelligent mind... casting streams of echoes

converges on the gathering place

navigating shifting dimensions, altenating gradients

analyzing sensory signals, moving and grooving ...

sliding around obstacles, maneuvering to find space

changing configuations of flight surfaces

defecting off currents, rising on thermal updrafts

altering glide paths, climbing/falling to a sustained orbit 

towards discrete destinations.

On track to... A Soul migration 

mind-bending, blending matter-energy and minds

calling beyond time To ancestral beings as much like us as not

Spirits drawn together, for moments like this

collecting thoughts, transmissions of their life-force

making conversations in controlled bursts to all others

Talking to a shadow Isn’t spiritual

Like… isn’t there somewhere else you ought to be

Being somewhat selective

Sensitive to being rejected.

Protective of the emotions

Too proud to beg to be honored

with even a brief hello or goodbye

Why would i/should i bother

If I am not welcome here

Then i guess i‘ll digress to no longer ponder

If there’s still life …near

And go way back over yonder

Stop by a bar, and buy myself a few brews

No longer to be plagued

with who’s who and what’s what…

And be done with the wordplay

As if i can’t get it up… and have had enough

We are all time travelers… 
Like the imprint of DNA

Made from pure energy, 
light and dark combined

Its signature of everyone 
who has ever lived

bore fruit produced a child 

by which we survivors
continue to thrive, 

if we cohabitate, communicate, 
copulate, repopulate 

and provide loving energy 
to another soul… 

can we imagine 
By proxy, to be worthy of life? 

For to live and choose 
to pay our dues. 

We have served and been served. 
In this miracle Called life.
