the stars speak

the stars speak

the stars are speaking
they share tales in their twinkling
they converse of worlds
they've gazed upon
and mortals whose necks creak
as they cast their eyes upward
they congregate over wishes
spoken in hearts
as they race across galaxies
they speak of the power they yield
to cast light
upon vast stretches of darkness

gratitudes seed

The heart becomes soil.
Gratitude, the seed,
the mind carefully sows.
The soil tilled by remembrance,
holds every cherished thing,
collecting, recording, archiving
all that is dear.
Gratitude upon a fertile heart
finds nourishment.
Blessings bloom and thrive,
granting favour
to the life that puts gratitude first.

star gazing

Star lit night
Sky sparkling bright
Moon in full bloom
Silence fills the air
Not a whisper
Nor a crickets call
The world seeming still
In its movement
A cold chill lingers
A heart beats with a soft hum
A calmness
Blankets
Those whose eyes lay glued
To the twinkle of clear skies

time we carve

Portions of time

Have been allotted to us

To carve  out

pieces of history

Leaving footprints

As markers of our existence

The Rainbow Bows

The rain recedes.
Black clouds perform
a disappearing act.
Blue skies return.

For every storm
covers beauty
behind turmoil,
the sun beams.
It cues for life
to leave its shelter.

A rainbow bows,
a signal that this storm
has run its course.
