hitting below the belt

wanting each other to feel one another's pain

refusing to be defeated

so we save face

want to show each other we're not fazed

even though we are both tired

we refuse to surrender

in the fight for love

even though we are both out of breath

we continue

attempting to make one another give up

pull out the white flag

admit that they have no more fight in them

admit that they're hurt and no longer wish to proceed

giving up on love

its to much of a fight and they have no energy left

they are defeated

they are broken hearted

the pain was to much to bare

there was no true winner in this fight
