Cry Freedom
Sobbing, blubbering, whimpering and wining
Everything about this is so confining
I smile to keep from crying, but still I cry
I fail at smiling, but still I try
For crying out loud, I moan very low
Hurt by someone, I really didn’t know
Crying over spilled milk, that was spoiled any way
Then speaking words, I never meant to say
Crying on a shoulder, that can’t absorb my tears
Holding on to someone, who won’t relieve my fears
Like a weeping willow, in search of badly needed space
The roots of my unhappiness, run a losing race
Pulling out my hair, to my plight I’m about to succumb
Only then from the top of my lungs do scream and Cry FREEDOMMMMM!
