Both too preoccupied to notice
Or too ashamed to show it
Clinging on to the moments they have left
Knowing tomorrow may bring a endingÂ
Back and forth arguing some regretting
A few crocodile tears and pretending they actually care where this is heading
Both know this thing they have was never built to last
The foundation was compromised from the beginning
Sabotage on behalf of both parties
I love yous replaced by I’m sorrys
Time together is now spent on their own
The house they share is no longer a home
