They knock and you let them in
They tell you, you ignite a flame in them
You let them taste your temperature on your skin
But when it's over and your sheets are cold
And you're lying in bed all alone
You wonder why you're not worth more
Then being beautiful behind closed doors
You look in the mirror and don't see yourself
You just want to be wanted and that you can't help
But as much as you want it you never get more
Because they only see you as beautiful behind closed doors
But now that the act is over
The heat has left your skin
You only feel loneliness
And you're empty within
You wish you deserved it
And were worth so much more
Than only being beautiful behind closed doors
