Symptomatic (09102025)asking someone how they're doing or how have you been is a thoughtful caring and polite thing to do but be careful about what you ask for if their reply is something like not to well I been going through a lot lately my head hurt my a** hurt my life is a mess the best thing you can do for you is to say sorry to hear that things aren't going well for you and I hope they get better soon the worse thing you can do for you is to say oh no what's wrong? here's what's wrong with that reply they are going to tell you everything that's going wrong in their life relationship matters family matters everything that's going wrong as if nothings going right the more tea you sip the more they'll pour and once you had your fill they go about their business feeling a little lighter check your temperature I bet it's no longer normal check your blood pressure I bet it's no longer normal you start feeling like you're coming down with something you wonder what's wrong with you? some heavy stuff b...  |

Heart Rage (07272025)oh the heart rage over heartaches the feeling deepens with age didn't have the heart to exact revenge can't pretend I don't wish I did have the courage then it's no longer hard to see the more the veil thin thoughts can no longer hide true intention I'm being honest I didn't honor true feelings true feelings don't take things lightly genuine emotions are significant and should be treated with asolute seriousness I had to go back to class to learn that important lesson this time I sat up straight in my chair and listened to my heart telling me I beat for you, beat for me I need to breathe like you need to breathe I need a hit of dopamine it turns my light emerald green if it ain't true love don't bother me |

Me & Miguel (07262025)I told a lot stories I still tell didn't do as much writing as I do now spent a lot of time in the library standing in the isles staring at books on the shelves waiting for one to jump out at me one day I discovered a versatile writer who was battling some sticky demons he scrawled his pain on paper I could only imagine in red he was a Puerto Rican brother poet playwright and storyteller from NYC who lived on the "Lower East Side" the stories he told weren't always cool breeze and sun shine the brother struggled to find a piece of mind he wanted us to see what poverty discrimination crime and drugs could do to a population through his eyes he desired to give a voice to his community and leave a strong legacy the more I delved into his collected works capturing a tragic life I realized it wasn't the poetry that captivated me as much as it was the person who wrote the words that helped me develope a unique style a strong creative way to battle depression and shape the meaning of ... |
