Helplessly begging more
Hopelessness for the hungry and poor
Still we see no change
Though promised things remain the same
We've prayed for a brighter day
We're still colors not names
In need of an outpour
Of a greater future in store
A greater hope for our kids
But for now, that's just the way it is.
