When I'm feeling alone
Like I've been left behind
I look to God for comfort
For he is my peace of mind.
He guides me through the day
He walks with me in the night
He tells me when I'm wrong
And blesses me when I'm right.
There's never a frown when he's near
Only smiles of joy and laughter
You'll never see me shed a tear
As he takes me home through the pasture.
When times get too hard to bear
And a friend's shoulder isn't enough
I look to heaven and pray to him
"God please take me away from all this stuff."
The gleam of his light warms my face
The glory of his word takes hold of my heart
He brings my troubles and worries to end
And gives me a brand new start.
Come with me and I'll show you
How truly God is divine
Just as he is for me he too
Can be your peace of mind.
