I adore the rain
the pitter-pattering splashes
like teardrops at the end of my lashes
sometimes it makes me feel so gray
ushering in the empty day
overflowing the city creeks
as I stare out at the glassy streets
makes me drift off into the deepest sleep
when I awake,the sunlight is on display
all the clouds have rolled away
Now I can begin the day.
