An ocean of tears I've wept
Since my darling went away.
All the promises I made to you I've kept,
I've counted them day by day.
Today I went again to the grave where you lay,
To remember again and to weep and pray.
As I stood there sad and all alone,
Even though it has been years since you"ve been gone;
All those memories of you and our children live on.
It won't be long until I'll meet you in that heavenly place
When I go to see Jesus face to face.
Then it won't be long my darling until we meet again,
You can't feel or know my pain and the lonely hours
As I visit your grave and bring you pretty flowers.
