The world has to see this, what we have accomplished. Our names need to be written somewhere, we were poets, we lived as poets and we died as apprentices.
We always wanted to learn more even as we hold on to those we love and miss the mark on success in life. And even if we did achieve success, we would be trying to pull the rest of everything we know out a ghettoed gutter of people who want to do the same things and feel the same way.
We know we want something different. We can taste it as well as see it. We need to become greater than we thought we could be. We need to reach that internal soul that tears away our flesh and reveals our true purpose.
The world needs to see this. They need to see that one poet stood against the hordes of evil and with one fell blade slashed its eye and piercing the feeling flesh to cripple its dead beating heart.
You are a witness, just as I am a witness.
