I write poetry, because I'm free to express
the person inside that is truly me.
Not worrying if my words are right,
not worrying if anyone agrees.
I write poetry because I see things in my perspective,
choosing words carefully making them perfect
and affective.
When I write poetry It's important for me to feel,
what the poem wants me to feel,
making it easy for words to be revealed.
I write poetry because it unleashes,
the unconscious connections that
exist within the mind,
words slowly combined, making the poem my own
creative design.
I write poetry because a good poet,
is able to transcend the constraints
imposed by prose, unshackled from structure "n" gramma.
My poetry trancends the mundane and infuse my reader
with a clarity of vision, unobtainable normally.
I write poetry because I like to think of poets as soldiers,
taking on the duty of feeling what others cant say,
taking on the task of coming up with perfect words
as a poet, each and every day.
I write poetry because as a soldier for the cause,
whole world is my opponent.
