pour every drip for every farewell kiss

every down ward word spat

every tear that reached a lip

because I can finally feel the rain

let it pour towards the floor

for the days we were poor

let it soak my clothes

for the days we had to wash them with bar soap

let it wet my shoes

for the hours through the years we had to walk

for I can finally feel the rain

let the salt tingle on my taste bugs

because I can remember a single slice of bread feeling like love

let the coldness remind we of weeks without hot water

warm tears that fell harder
