Headphones on, my lemon tea ready in a glass,
I turn my music on blast.
The soothing sound of John legend,
hits my very essence, Now I can begin my poetry session.
The soft sound of the paino, opens up my soul
like a volcano,
I close my eyes.....Feelings transmit through
my pen, now ready to explode.
Blocking out the world around me,
slowly rocking in tone with the beat,
my pen like a runner, racing through the first sheet.
Music connecting with my poetry, allowing me
to express myself openly, Rhyme and rhythm dance together,
both serving as the foundation of my poetry,
in a trans......my pen fill's each sheet unknowingly.
Musical song and deep thought, a required skill for a poet like me,
Something I want the world to see,
maybe someone will be inspired....hopefully.
One last look over what I've written,
turning the music down, reading, studying,
hopeing to capture this poem exactly how I envisioned it.
Pen down, I turn up the music once again,
I sit back and close my eyes.......The soothing sound
of John legend continue to make a connection......
completing my inner confession, Now I can end my
poetry session.
