Close your eyes and go back for a while,
to a place in time when you were a child;
Remember the world seemed such a big place to be,
how you longed to explore all its riches to see;
Remember those warm spring days when flowers would bloom,
all those nights you would count the stars from your room;
Remember those long summer days that were so hot,
how you longed to run to the river to swim in a cool spot;
Remember all the leaves with their golden colors in the fall,
how in your mind's ete tiy narveked at it all;
Remember those cold winter nights, how beautiful the snowflakes
would look from the street lights,
how you would wake in the morning to a world covered in white;
Remember when mom and dad would take you to the christmas play,
how you were so fascinated of the baby jesus born that day;
Remember the stories of how he grew to be a Godly man,
how they crucified him you asked Mom why, she replies "Child it's part of
God's plan";
Now open your eyes and you might look around and say,
I'm not so very different than I was in those days;
Remember when times get rough for a while,
close your eyes and thing back you're still God's child.
