I knew a man
who pushed dope
deep into his veins
he said he was sick
the stuff was medicine
it made him insane
before his eys closed
he set them a flame
they rolled into
the back of his head
as if he was slain
in the spirit
if that's what it took
to ease the pain
I'd rather throw myself
on the floor and cry
until it hurts no more
he was 20 something
I was only four
with a good understanding
that, there was a monster
behind the door and the
knob was turning
