Born on the southside of Chicago,
Raised on the northside of Indianapolis,
Grew up in the 80s, life was terrible, fabulous,
Golden age of hip hop, crack rock, cold wars, and Reaganomics,
Mom and dad raise us well, I never touched the chronic,
Excelled in school, by age 14 had a baptism,
Ever since then been shining this little light of mine toward every prism,
Walked the path less traveled, by God's grace avoided prison,
Stopped by racist cops nine times, that ain't right,
Black Lives Matter, put down them remotes, tablets, and pipes,
These vices are decisive like chains and nooses, here's the proof kid,
Countless hours on Playstation and Netflix is all you done did?
Nothing, while cops is bustin', politicians is disgusting, and you in your home hid?
Living on social media posting pictures of bull$#!+ you done did?
Some people of all ages and races is typing loud but writing nothing,
Hastags and comments don't change a GOT DAMN thing, unplug and do something!
Metaphorically we WAY past the Red Pill or Blue Pill discussion,
They planning to occupy YOUR street, good grief, we better do something soon,
Wake up my Neos and Trinitys - remember there is no spoon...
