Why I Write...

CATEGORY

I have no formal training,

but I have a heart that feels,

and a mind that considers,

and a voice that will reveal

their truths – My truth.

And I intend to deliver

that intact whenever my astral travels

take me in between the lines

of a page. Or my fingers dance

on QWERTY keys

playing my mind’s melodies –

expressing my concerns:

Hard life lessons learned,

or just simple observations.

In those moments, I am taken

away from my rut.

I can visit distant lands;

reconnect with loves I’ve lost.

Hold my dying parents’ hands.

Or just be introspective,

examining my character.

Through words, I stay connected

to my inner self, my circles,

to my planet and beyond…

Hoping those who read and hear

my words get carried where I’ve gone.

This is why I write.
