Why poetry? Not my dream as a kidBarely liked to read let alone writeStrayed from the initial path, glad I didThe fall awakened this hidden lightNow i feel deeply the world around meThe landscape inspires the artBeauty is everything is what I seeConnected to it all with words and my heartStill why did it have to be poetryThoughts deeper than snow white's sleepCreativity as vast and unpredictable like the seaThe pen the shepherd the letters become sheepishTo express everything I feel so deeplyAs if everything and everyone is tied to my soulComplex descriptions for things done so simplyYou see a picture of a shirt, I see every holeComing back to poetry, I continue with the whyThe right words become etched in my brainCrafting vessels in which your spirit can flyRunning on my emotions fuel that never drainTrying to understand how deeply I can feelWith the musical of life I write the scoreWith every cord, the symphony is unrealMy soul echoes to something moreWhy poetry? Because i feel so deeplyChicken or egg, which was the startDo I feel so deeply because of the poetry?Did the gift present itself over time or was it already in my heart?
