I wish

that she looked beyond

her perception of me

Because I

admire her

Not in a phony kind of way either

I admire

Her

She knows how to

Recignize a lame in

2.5 seconds

She scanned him from

His haircut ta

His tennis shoes

Knowing that if

He ain't

Take care of

Him

He sho

couldn't afford her

She knew it

faster than I could

even say

Anything

Lame

She yell out

as a warning for

homely girls

Like me

Lame

She would know

if he was

Da man

or

Lame

and

Admired her

Because she taught me

the rules of the game

But it was the game

that she knew how to play

See

mine

Mine was to do what my

Mamma say

Stay in line

Speak properly

But my game

was

Lame

because she didn't like

Girls like me

I was on the other side of the

Boardwalk

And we only came

together to learn

But we was already

Edaucated on how our lives

would eventually play out

So when I see her

she sneers and

calls me stuck up

I wish she knew

that it was to her

that I look up

Cause if she cries

nobody would know

But I'm not that strong

I wear my feelings on my

Clothes

I admire her

Strength and

Tenacity

She is so beautiful
