My heart drums to the reality as we face our circumstance

Staring at the final pages of our novel we’ve created

I savor the final breezes that mark our last chapters..

For today, I know…

Our lives will never be the same.

With love, I left you…

Sprinkles of my heart scattered along the trails of your art

With hope that you could still find traces of me

Knowing, that when a sleepless night may surround you

You can reach for the blank pages of your muse

And in the corners of your beauty is where I’ll be.

I hope for my words to dance from the ink of those sheets

And latch onto the veins of your heart…

 For in that moment in time…

To stand penetrated

Even when our bodies will lie miles apart

I know that when you smile, I’ll feel it

Right through the very fabric of my Navy dress blues..

And amongst grey night air, you’ll somehow hear my whispers…
