A woman can work just as hard as a man,
That is a notion some cannot understand.
I work just as hard, but don't make as much,
Is it because of my woman's lovely touch?
Working, tending to the kids, and home all day.
You go to work, afterward, you get to play!
A real woman's job is never ever done,
Always giving to others when I have none.
I do things a man could never ever do.
Facing things you have never been through.
All by my own self, I can remain independent,
“I should stay in my place!” say men who resent it.
You think a man is strong, and a woman is weak?
Women only stay quiet, and men must speak.
Today is a new day, and a new dawn of age,
A new chapter in my life is turning a page.
Men say, “A woman cannot work like a man!”
That is a notion I just cannot understand.
You don't have to ever hold my dear hand,
This woman can work, just as hard, as a man!
