In Quiet Tranquility…
Here I sit
in the womb of room…
gazing out into the sunlit scene—
consuming its tranquility…
In moss highlighted trees…
squirrels play hide-and-seek
between branches laden with leaves
hued with shades of the season’s colors
camouflaging other anchor tenants;
The cerulean sky—polka dotted
with large cottage cheese-like clouds,
canopies this picturesque scene;
red breasted Cardinals ape and peck away
like jumping checker moves—beaks darting
between chlorophyll sheen blades of grass;
The restless wind Images its presence…
flickering waving shadows across
the terrestrial carpeting…wow…
