Adorned with precious stones

Our ancestral kings and queens
Handed down legacies of

From the surface of our skin
To the depths of our souls
This melanin richness
Of which we behold
Is far more precious
Than any diamonds or gold.
Stepping into the sunlight
Sets the stage
Enhancing our hues and tones
Making us all the rage,
Turning heads wherever we go
The eyes of others stop and stare
As our skin radiantly glows.
Black has always been beautiful
