Life and boxing are much the same
Both take courage to play the game
It's not the hits you give
It’s the ones you take
To step in to this ring
It’s heart you must bring
Most won’t try to participate
Some sit out and only speculate
But not I
I’m not giving up, no I’m not turning back
I’ll stay the course even when my life is off track
The path I’m on will be filled with potholes

Knocked down 5, got up 6
Took 10 shots, only 4 I missed
You say can’t, I say can
Quit is what I can’t understand
Will walk through fire
To prove you’re a liar
Mistakes I’ve made were quite a few
What they taught, helped me make it through
