if words don't say nothing

words are worth gold
even quick silver
can't past fast enough
to win the race without
speeding up to the chase
waste not want not
a military term means
if you use a commodity
or resource carefully
without extravagance
you will never be in need
for those who are greedy
it's a good lesson to learn
like fire burns and times
not a real thing like so many
other things but we have
to go along even if the
songs change and we
hate to hear it and sing
the lyrics it is better to
bury words in the sand
so maybe one day
the sea will open up
and put it in someone's hand
that's how the word travels
from beneath rock & gravel
tucked in a time capsule
someday one may
find and read their
