I can't ever go back

Backtracking a lifetime of

Mistakes

Heartbreaks

Missed opportunities

And headaches

I'm looking forward from now on

What's in my past must stay behind

As I travel this road

Marked peace of mind

I have no desire

To ever rewind

Replaying the faces

Of backstabbers and traders

Fake friends and manipulators

There's nothing back there for me

But disappoinents and misery

So now I'm determined to move ahead

Looking for purpose and understanding

I am sure of my direction

And I am never going back
