here we go again losing feelings
numbing like Novocain in a syringe
inside a vein feels good to have
no pain in hurtful times of days
drugs are good to those who
medicate to escape to another
day in their minds waking up
to feel again in a mood to
kill again to defend against
demons within ones soul
I can't blame you for finding
another way out who am I
to judge it's like playing God
with your life everyone
is not meant to be saved
if that were true it be a few
sleeping in their graves
we know love cannot be
bought nor can it pay bills
all I can say is I know how
you feel your addiction
is hard to swallow and
your reason may be hard
to follow if you can find joy
in a pill it's your own bottle
