Remember growin up in the

rough and tumble inner city

Our growin up Baby Boomer generation

none of that gang killings jus raw

down survival that was the common

nitty gritty

Food on the table a place with a roof

thats how we grew up

no cars no bycycles it was all about

them feet and legs city bus or walk

you will never know the meaning of good ole days

until you old and grey you will look back

smile and say

Every year bout this time

I fall in love all over again

Its a routine I have had

all my life

Once again feeling alive no

may dribble dable now and then but again am out

the door hit the highway more life to explore

Social Media/Egos/Agendas

Social media a ego driven

stage

different folks with different

strokes

always folks want to place

their agenda in the maze

No more need for liquid courage (alcohol)

to speak their mind

behind a computer screen some cower

no live face to face conversation

no way for someone to discourage

Instead of grabbin the mic to begin

the buzz of agenda

of whatever on their mind

they hit some typing keys

and the agenda begin

When I see so much media agenda trendin

all over the place I think of Willie Hutch song from the LP 

Mark of the Beast title of song Dont you let nobody tell

you how to do your thing.  Absolutely love these lyrics to

this song just because its good for you dont have to b good for u so dont let nobody tell you how to do your thing long title but youtube got it

Neighborhood

Nothin quite like the

neighborhood you grew up

in

No matter how old u get

u just never forget

Whether it was indifferent good

or bad

it was that place you

called home

As i have grown old over

the years 

never had no fears 

going back to the

old neighborhood

Old friends many have

passed away most of

course have moved away

but my old neighborhood

will always b a part of

me

In vietnam we played all the time

when we had some down time

played in our combat jungle boots

Adjustments

Its that part of life

if U dont adapt to it

U will b left behind you

will b sidelined

It will b left up to U

to decide if its just a

matter of time before you

make adjustments to leave

certain ways certain things

behind

or will U b among the many many

who chose not to adjust the whole

while here on earth

U missed out on so much

because you did not stay in

touch with adjustments  you didnt

keep up with world inventions
