What happened to America?
Mass shootings are at an all time high
Family unity has declined
The guilty get away with murder
The innocent are being convicted
Without just cause just because
Someone’s gotta answer for it.
All police don’t police
Some of them pray others prey
Then kill without provocation.
Delivering their justice before
A court of law has the opportunity
To do it’s appointed job.
A family’s pain is becomes as
Permanent as death itself.
Not to mention kidnapping have
Exploded in unmentionable numbers
Age doesn’t even matter
Babies and grown folk alike
Disappearing without a trace.
Our children are being killed
In every manner imaginable.
By stray and intended bullets
By familiar and unfamiliar hands.
Some even beaten by the very
Hands that trusted to love and
Protect them at any and all costs.
Others by the most heinous manners.
What happened to America?
The so called land of the free,
Where the innocent pay the price.
The so called home of the brave
Where cowardly trigger itchy fingers
As much as the brazen aim at us
From any given direction
Because things didn’t go their way.
Political puppet strings are pulled
As mouths move by back track talkin
Ventriloquism committing crimes
With plausible deniability.
You can’t pull the wool
Over all of the sheep’s eyes,
Unzip that coat wolf!
What happened to America and
Why is it allowed to continue?
