With eyes on the past and vision of the present,

focus on the prize in the future must have working

strategies to ensure that the prize will be won.

While presents are given, prizes are from victories.

we can’t just sit around and wait for pandemic solutions,

neither can we sit around doing so for inequality solutions

While it’s true that when prayers go up,

blessings will indeed come down, we must

be aware of the messages of divine wisdom

and guidance that are allegorically within them.

Remember the ancestral lesson, “God helps them

that help themselves…Ya’ll better get to work, now.”

Yeah, prayer without work, is like going down to the well

with an empty bucket and coming back, likewise.  Yes, living

life in any pandemic situation, mentally or socially, is the same;

it’s also true, politically and economically: work must go on.

Our fought and won liberties continue to have global influences.

Thus, our work towards evident equality must become pandemic.
