the light went out in the dark
searching for another bulb
today the sun didn't come out
on my side of the house
widows too foggy to see out
wrote a letter today had a lot
to say we've been out of touch
for some time in state of not
knowing what's going on
on the other side of the divide
as if we ever knew what
tomorrow would bring
regardless the time it's still
Spring yet we have fallen
back days are liken to months
months are liken to years
can't touch my face to feel
my tears in a mask of confusion
audible illusions light has
faded into shadows puppets
the house is turning into
a dungeon what sound
noise make when no one
listens like a glass of water
in sunlight glistening
so much time to kill
stay strong keep fighting
one day Mister will need
a shave you may just be
the one holding the blade
