I hadn't always been in a good place
hadn't always been in a comfortale space
but I found a place to lay burdens down
seven years ago today I set a goal
come what may I didn't let nothing
stand in my way of course there
were a few wrinkles in the road
I kept pressing folding and putting
away the clothes Poetry saved my soul
years ago I first found a home
in The Artist Lounge it was the kindness
of my Sistar Jill that helped and
motivated me to get up that hill
tired of taking on life the hardest way
from here on out if I don't have
anything left to say I credit Poetry
for showing me The Artist Way out
