a spoken word can never be unheard
a life lived can never be lived again
a chapter must conclude for a new
to begin long after stories are told
days like this are coming to a close
who can stop the tides rolling over
our heads we leave but never
can say goodbyes or goodnight
before we sleep time is not ours to
keep it's no secret kept from reach
how long will this song play on
repeat the band can't get us on
our feet once the dance is done
