it's not enough tears to fill
this ocean of emptiness
it's too many leaky cracks in it
its dangerous to dive into it
its wide enough to get lost inside
its deep enough to not come up
its a open wound its a open grave
it a part of earth it suddenly caved
its an open mouth it won't shut up
its a unclogged pore in earths core
its a site of total remote desolation
its proof something existed before
it denotes the destruction of war
its rootless fruitless sunken shore
