Upon my reflection I stare,

A spitting image of me,

But different in every way.

His eyes burn with a fire unlike my own,

An intensity of immense power,

his arua glows brighter than my own.

Into his heart I see,

Love is sheltered,

As she rests a smile of happiness I envision,

Batterd and bruised but not defeated,

She beats onward.

A soul of enormous strength I am taken aback,

A true warrior stands before me!

Life's lessons has molded him,

Made him stronger,

Wisdom welcomes him,

Joy befriends him.

I touch his face and say,

This is me.

Such poise I stand strong,

Graceful are my steps.

Such strength I attract,

Confidence is immeasurable.

I present myself to me,

A man born from trials and tribulations.

No longer a reflection for I am him,

And he is I,

With each passing day,

My true self shines forth.
